DonorPerfect Sync Improvements for Split Gifts and Memberships

We've improved how we sync data to DonorPerfect for Memberships and when using Split Gifts.

When using Split Gifts:

  • We NO LONGER push a master gift when there's only one gift to push to DonorPerfect.
  • TY Letter Code is no longer set to SEE_SPLIT. Instead, it's set to either a single TY code OR NULL if there are multiple.

Membership Improvements:

  • When renewing a membership, Givecloud pushes the new expiry date to DP in realtime
  • Givecloud now does a much better job of tracking enrolment date in DP as the original membership registration date in Givecloud, regardless of renewal dates

Sponsorships: Resolved an Issue with Adding a Timeline Update

There was an issue setting a timeline update to Private. Rather than setting the post to private when clicking the checkbox, it would instead prompt you to upload an attachment. This has been resolved.

Staff Notifications for Edits to Fundraising Pages

Under fundraiser settings, you can now add team members to be notified when a Fundraising Page is edited by a Supporter.

This is in addition to the notification that was already available for your team to be notified when a new fundraiser is created.

Several Bug Fixes

Several bug fixes have gone live. See the list below for more details.

  • Multi-Item Checkout pages:
    • The list of items you can donate towards now respects the order of the items as they were added on the edit page [ENG-108]
  • Fundraising Pages:
    • Allowing goals greater than 999,999. This is especially important when using currencies where a large amount equates to smaller value. [ENG-84]
  • Text to Give
    • A change has been made to how we recognize text conversations to attempt to reduce the possiblity of multiple conversations matching a text message. [ENG-82]
  • Mobile Point of Sale
    • A bug has been addressed that would result in a cryptic error message related to "CSRF" tokens [ENG-87]

Fixed an white-space issue on donation pages

We removed a blank box that would appear on most donation pages of new sites because there is a single space in the "Alternate Panel Content"

Address Autocomplete for Mail Tributes

When a donor wants to send a tribute through mail, they can now use address auto-complete to enter the recipient's address.

We believe this will help reduce the time it takes your supporters to fill in addresses as well as reduce errors in address entry.

An Issue has been resolved with Add-to-Cart Donations

An update went live yesterday which caused a possible issue with donation forms that use the "Add to Cart" functionality.

Some of your site visitors may have been unable to add their donation to the cart due to an issue with tributes. We've since corrected the issue the forms should be working as expected.

Improved Sponsorship Count Tracking

There were certain situations where the count of sponsors on a sponsorship could have been incorrect. We've improved the way in which we're calculating this to avoid this problem and we've re-calculated sponsorship counts on all sites.

Improved Appearance of Account Search Results in POS

When searching for an account to attach to an order in the POS, there was a situation where it wouldn't show you the address, phone number or memberships that the account belonged to. This could cause issues if you were looking up an account where two or more people have the same name.

We've now updated the POS Account Search so that it always shows the information it has available (email address, address, telephone and memberships).

Fixed Issue with [[recurring_description]] Merge Tag in Emails

In certain cases, the merge tag used to display a description of the recurring amount for a contribution did not include the covered costs (DCC).

For example, it may have shown: You will be charged $25.00 USD/mon starting May 23rd, 2021.

When it should have show: You will be charged $26.22 USD/mon starting May 23rd, 2021.

This is now resolved.

Minor Update to Email Sharing Links

Before this fix, when a supporter would share a blog post or fundraiser on your website through the "email" share link , it would share a portion of the content of the page. Due to limitations in web-browsers, we would limit the length of this content. In these situations however, the limiting of the length of content would make the content of the email look as if it had been cut-off. This isn't a great experience for someone trying to share your page.

In this update we've made it more obvious that this is an excerpt by using an ellipsis and we now provide a "Read More" link below the excerpt.
