What’s New

Fraud Tab in Contributions

• All fraud-related activity is now centralized in the Fraud tab — your team’s command center for donation security.
• View flagged donations, risk details, OTC results, and take quick action like allowlisting or blocking — all in one place.

One-Time Code Verification (OTC)

• Donors flagged during checkout will receive a one-time email code to confirm their gift.
• OTC outcomes now appear clearly in the Fraud tab:

Smarter Fraud Detection

• Givecloud automatically scores and blocks high-risk activity behind the scenes — no manual rules required.
• Checks consider IP, billing, and behavioral patterns to reduce fraud while minimizing false flags.

IP Controls

• Allowlist IPs for 24 hours to restore access for trusted donors
• Block (Mark as Fraud) IPs for 24 hours to stop suspicious activity

Improved Donor Messaging

• Blocked donors now see clear explanations and alternate payment options like Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal

Security Settings Update

The following settings have been removed:

• Require IP Consistency when attempting payments

• Require Billing Country to Match IP Country

These checks are now automated. When triggered, OTC is used to confirm donor intent — reducing false declines without manual setup.

Recurring upsells now automatically sync to your connected CRM — ensuring donor records and recurring plans stay accurate and up to date.

Details:

• New recurring plans from upsells now auto-sync to DonorPerfect, Salesforce, and Raiser’s Edge NXT.

• Works automatically (Autosync needs to be enabled for this in DonorPerfect integrations)

• Future recurring transactions are linked correctly to the synced plan in your CRM without the need to resync manually.

Temporary IP Whitelisting (90 min)

• If a legit donor is being blocked in error, you can now whitelist their IP for 90 minutes right from the Risk Assessment panel. Perfect for urgent fixes—no more lost gifts over a false flag.

Temporary IP Blacklisting (24 hr)

• Spot suspicious activity that slipped through? You can now blacklist the IP for 24 hours with a single click—no need for permanent bans that could block real donors later.

  Clearer Decline Messaging

• When a donor gets blocked, they now see a kind, clear message explaining what happened—and alternate payment options like Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal if available.

We’re making it easier for donors to get everything they need in one place.

When a supporter gives through a Giving Experience, their PDF tax receipt is now attached directly to their confirmation email.

What’s new?

• No more separate tax receipt emails

• Donors receive their confirmation and receipt together

Now live — you can display both the total gift amount and the Fair Market Value (FMV) on donation tax receipts.
